What’s up with the Real Estate Tomato? With the exception of three guest posts, Jim hasn’t published anything since pre-halloween. Jim, if you need a friendly virtual kick in the derriere, here it is.
While Tech Crunch and Drama 2.0 vet the decline of web 2.0, I think it’s worth noting that RE.net is not Web 2.0. Specifically, it’s not a “traditional” Web 2.0 business model. Real estate agents and loan originators do not need advertising dollars to succeed. They are the advertisers. Just something to think about in this time of predictions and resolutions.
…and your despised bloggers closer.
I’m a prolific commenter. It comes from my days on bulletin boards and internet forums. I like to argue. I’ll argue about anything. Politics, cars, the best place to ski. It doesn’t matter. Eventually I piss somebody off enough for them to put me on their “ignore list”. Usually they make a public note of how they are now ignoring me. Then how they continue to ignore me. I always thought it was silly to publicly ignore some one. It reminds me of Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop with his hands in his ears yelling, “LA LA LA I AM NOT LISTENING!”
There’s nothing wrong with privately ignoring someone, but I don’t do that either. For me, the people who I disagree with the most are the most likely to be the first read when I open my feed reader. I think Rush Limbaugh is a blathering idiot, but I listen to him. There are two bloggers on RE.net that I would just assume go Dick Cheney on. But I always read them. If you’re on my “ignore list”. It’s probably because I just don’t think you’re very interesting.
I He would never post this video:
I should join a group blog. Thanks Hanan.
…or does it have multiple personalities?
